VIP Rewards
VIP status is the payout mechanism of Volume Betting. Here's exactly how to qualify, how to keep the perks flowing, and what they're worth in cold euros.
Published · By VolumeBetting Editorial
VIP programs are the profit engine of Volume Betting. Done right, they drop cashback on your losses, enhanced odds, higher limits, and exclusive promos directly into your bankroll, and they do it month after month, for years.
The catch: bookmakers don't hand out VIP status for free. You need to bet big, bet often, and look the part. Think like a whale, the kind of player who treats a five-figure bet like a bar tab. The more natural and high-value your activity looks, the faster you climb.
What VIP status is actually worth
Before the rules, the reward. Here's what a typical mid-to-high VIP account looks like in concrete terms.

Stake's published VIP ladder. Perks compound at every step.
The eight rules of VIP qualification
VIP status isn't granted overnight, it's earned through consistent, well-planned activity. These eight rules come straight from our own track record and the playbook we distribute to members.
1. Focus on big leagues and major tournaments
Bookmakers expect significant action on the biggest markets. Prioritise them. Your large stakes blend with the recreational money:
- Premier League
- La Liga
- Bundesliga
- Serie A
- Ligue 1
- Champions League
- Europa League
- World Cup / Euros
- Grand Slam tennis
- NBA / NFL / MLB
2. Bet on low odds when it suits the book
Low-odds bets reduce your liability on the exchange (a back at 1.30 needs far less coverage than one at 3.00), which lets you turn over bankroll efficiently. Watch out: not all bookmakers weight low-odds turnover equally, Sportsbet.io, for example, discounts them toward VIP progression. Read the small print per platform.
3. Time bets ~1 hour before kickoff
The golden window gives you three things at once:
- Better liquidity on the exchange so lay bets match cleanly.
- Odds adjustments from line-up news and late money.
- Natural patterns, most recreational punters bet in this same window, and you want to blend in.
4. Use live betting for higher limits
Live markets routinely accept bigger stakes than pre-match, and the constant odds movement creates more placement windows. Add live to your rotation once you're comfortable with the pre-match flow.
5. Behave like a whale from day one
The single biggest mindset shift new Volume Bettors need to make.
Optional, for those with the bankroll: a Martingale-style "all in after a win" pattern builds VIP momentum fast. It also requires a deep exchange balance to cover lay liability on winning streaks, not for everyone.
6. Early losses are a feature, not a bug
Counterintuitive but true: accounts that lose their first few bets get to VIP faster. Fresh accounts with consistent wins draw restrictions. Accounts that look profitable for the bookmaker get groomed into the VIP funnel.
You can't control individual outcomes, but if your first 10 bets happen to lose on the bookmaker side (while you win on the exchange), that account is your best candidate for aggressive scaling.
7. Never beg for VIP
Emailing customer service to ask for VIP status is the single most common mistake. It raises flags, never gets granted, and tells the bookmaker you're watching the VIP column too closely. VIP is an outcome of activity, not a request.
8. Mix in occasional -EV bets
Your activity should resemble a high-stakes recreational bettor, not a systematic printer of money. A scattering of accumulators, long-shot underdogs, or casual prop bets keeps your profile realistic. It's a tiny EV cost for a significantly longer account lifespan.
Best markets for VIP recognition
Stick to the high-roller playgrounds. Large bets on big markets are the expected behaviour; large bets on obscure markets are the flag.
Great for VIP recognition Big stakes blend in | Avoid for big stakes Red flag territory | |
|---|---|---|
| Football | Premier League, Champions League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1, World Cup, Euros. | Lower-division obscure leagues, youth friendlies, women's third tier. |
| Tennis | Grand Slams (Wimbledon, US Open, Roland Garros, Australian Open), ATP 1000s. | ITF Futures, exhibition tournaments, qualifier rounds on small circuits. |
| American sports | NBA regular season and playoffs, NFL, MLB majors. | NBA G-League obscurities, college D-II, minor-league baseball spot markets. |
| Niche / seasonal | Super Bowl, March Madness, major golf majors, F1, UFC main cards. | Armenian U19 futsal, Latvian second-tier volleyball, the kind of market that pattern-matches to an arb account instantly. |

Maintaining VIP status
Getting VIP is half the job. Keeping it requires continued activity, not at the same pace as the qualification sprint, but enough to stay in the book's "active high-value customer" bucket.
- Keep betting like a whale. Stop, and the perks evaporate faster than your tolerance for restricted accounts. Stay active.
- Don't beg, ever. Same rule at maintenance as at qualification. If you're valuable, they'll keep you. If you ask, you look desperate.
- Mix in fun bets. Small accumulators, underdog props, the occasional live-market punt. It's camouflage; it's also cheap.
- Spread VIP across bookmakers. Relying on one platform means being at one restrictions team's mercy. Build VIP status in 3–5 places.
- Manage withdrawals carefully. Minimise withdrawals; do regular small deposits. It looks natural and keeps funds available. More on this in our scaling guide.
What VIP perks actually unlock
VIP programs aren't about bragging rights. They're a direct line item on your Volume Betting P&L.
Crypto bookmakers: VIP on day one
Not all VIP programs grind for months. Crypto-first sportsbooks, Stake, bc.game, Roobet, Duelbits, offer immediate access to tiers of VIP perks based on turnover, rather than making you wait for a human host to flag your account. That dramatically shortens the path from "new deposit" to "meaningful cashback".

Final thoughts
VIP Betting isn't for casual bettors. It's for people willing to commit bankroll and discipline to a strategy that pays back over years. The playbook is simple:
- Act like a high roller. Bet consistently, at scale, from day one.
- Stick to high-liquidity markets. Don't hand bookmakers a reason to flag you.
- Keep betting to keep earning. VIP is a running relationship, not a trophy.
- Spread your VIP status across multiple platforms so no single restriction ends your month.
Every big VIP account needs a better exchange
You'll pay commission on every winning lay bet for as long as you Volume Bet. BFB247 runs on the Betfair liquidity pool but with 2.5% commission for VolumeBetting readers (vs 5–6.5% standard), no "expert fees" on winning players, and crypto deposits built in. Over a VIP-level turnover, the commission delta alone is worth a small salary.
